Glee's 300th Musical Number

Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

Last Wednesday, the Glee Cast & Crew worked hard on their 300th Musical Number. Can you believe that?! 300 musical numbers in 47 episodes. That's super crazy and quite an accomplishment!

What'd they do? None other than the legendary Adele. To top it off, it's a mashup of Rumor Has It/Someone Like You. Add the cherry: It's performed by Naya Rivera & Amber Riley. Not only do we love our Santcedes duets, but we said long ago: If we had to choose anyone to cover Adele, it'd be one of those two! Naya has the Jazzy pipes & Amber's already shown us she can belt out those Adele notes in her YouTube cover of Someone Like You!

Then, they even sat in on a panel and answered a series of questions about the special taping and the 300th musical number. Whatta cast!

As a congratulations, wants to thank the entire cast & crew for all their hard work and dedication. Long hours in choreography, long hours recording in the studio and long hours filming on set... You guys work way to hard for us, and it's greatly appreciated by all of us Gleeks! You give us something to look forward to week after week, and somehow each episode is better than the last. Each and every person involved in the show is changing the world & the lives of thousands of people... one musical number at a time :)

Thanks & Congratulations on such a huge accomplishment!

Glee Performance - Last Friday Night

Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

That's right! Since Glee comes back next week..we have a sneak peek at one of the performances! Here's the group (mainly Blaine) performing Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night":

Yes, yes and yes. Klaine was cute..Blaine was hot..everyone was having fun, except Santana. Which makes us sad. However, she was looking a little jealous of Britt laying on the floor with Blaine at the beginning...

Can't wait to see the rest of this episode on Tuesday! Hopefully this can hold everyone over until then!

Have a Gleetastic day!

Glee Christmas Album - Song List

Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

Christmas in October? Yes please. Glee Christmas in October? ABSOLUTELY!

One of the songs from this year's Glee Christmas album was released today and you can listen to it here if you haven't or if you have, then listen again (you know you can't resist)!

The rest of the list of songs was also found today (we found it from our dear friends over at and it appears as follows:

1. All I Want For Christmas Is You - Amber Riley

2. Extraordinary Merry Christmas - Darren Criss and Lea Michele
3. Santa Baby - Naya Rivera
4. Christmas Eve With You - Jayma Mays and Mathew Morrison
5. Little Drummer Boy - Kevin McHale
6. River - Lea Michele
7. Do You Hear What I Hear? - Lindsay Pearce (Glee Project) and Alex Newell (Glee Project)
8. Let It Snow - Darren Criss and Chris Colfer
9. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town - Mark Sailing, Cory Monteith and Samuel Larsen (Glee Project)
10. Christmas Wrapping - Heather Morris
11. Blue Christmas - Damian McGinty (Rory/Glee Project)
12. Do They Know It’s Christmas - Group number

We are very excited about this list but there are also a few issues we've had with it.
1) No Dianna. Sad days.
2) Hardly any Tina. She's in the group number..and that appears to be all. More sad days.
3) Glee Project runner-ups get a song together. Anger. They didn't even fully win! Grr..

While there are things I would change, I still can't wait for this because I love the holiday season! The hiatus is almost over and we'll have new Glee next week! Yay!

Lata gleeks,

Here's a first listen of "Do They Know It's Christmas" performed by Cory, Amber, Lea, Jenna, Mark, Heather, Chris, Darren, Kevin, and Naya.

Posting from the grave.

Gleecap: Glee 3x03 - 'Asian F' Recap

Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

The cast wasn't kidding. Neither was Kristin Dos Santos. "Asian F" was the best episode of Glee... ever. So, in case you were hiding under a rock, or lost somewhere outside your mind, here's what you missed on "Asian F":

Will spots Emma's Bride Magazine stash... so he shows her his porn stash? New low for Will Schuester...

Mike got an A- in Chemistry. His dad wants Mike to go to Harvard, and since he got an Asian F, his dad thinks he's on drugs, or has too many extracurriculars. So he tells Mike to quit Glee... but Mike says he'll pay for his own Chemistry tutor instead.

Tina is a vampire again... #Yes

Beiste is making the football team dance in West Side Story

Shane encourages Mercedes to take control of her divaness. So she sings "Spotlight" - KILLT it!

Brittany does "Run the World (Girls)" Flash Mob for her Senior Class president campaign. KILLT IT EVEN MORE #HeatherMorrisCanIBeYou

Beiste, Emma, and Artie can't decide on Maria, so they invite them back for a callback.

Mike goes to see a tutor, and as he is on his way, he stops to rehearse his dance... but he sees his dad who discourages him from dancing. Then he sees Tina and she encourages him to dance. #TinaMadeMeCry

Mike tries out for the musical, singing and dancing to "Cool" - KILLT IT!!!!!!!

Will gets upset that Emma hasn't introduced her to her parents. So Beiste tells him to introduce himself... which he does, by inviting them over for dinner. During dinner, he finds out that Emma's parents are "Ginger Supremacists". Will goes off on her parents for being racist, and for calling Emma a freak. Emma is touched.

Kurt thinks Blaine is going to get the role of Tony

In Booty Camp, Finn & Mercedes struggle, particularly Mercedes... and THEN: "It's All Over" -- EVERYONE KILLT IT!!!

Mercedes walked out on Booty Camp. Mr. Schue told her she couldn't come back.

Mike gets caught practicing dance with him Mom. His mom tells him not to give up on his dreams and tells him she supports his tryout in the musical. He learns that she actually gave up on her dream of dancing. Then Mike and his mom dance. It was cute.

Diva Off: "Out Here on My Own" was sung. Everyone Watched... You KNOW what I'm gonna say next: Lea & Amber... KILLT IT!!!

Rachel thinks Mercedes is better than her.

Kurt and Rachel have a powerful argument about why each should win class president (Yes, you heard right... Rachel wants to run for Class president). Kurt wants to change the world. Rachel wants to get into NYADA. It was sad.

Cute Wemma moment a the end... You're given a little insight to Emma's OCD. Will holds Emma while she cries and he sings Coldplay's "Fix You" -- I cried.

They double cast Maria. Then, Mercedes gives it up to Rachel. So Rachel is playing Maria... sort of by default.

Mike is cast for Riff. Santana is cast for Anita. And Blaine... is cast for Tony.

The real kicker: Mercedes joins Shelby Corchoran's Glee Club.

...And that's what you missed... on the most powerful & epic episode of Glee... ever.

Oh... and PS - Trending topics on Twitter tonight, relating to Glee: Ginger Supremacists, Beiste, Ace of Cakes, Heather Morris, Mike Chang, Who Run The World, Effie, Rachel Berry, DreamGirls.

Heather Morris - Run The World (Girls) Performance in Glee 3x03

Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

If you thought Slave 4 U or Tik Tok were good HeMo performances... you ain't seen nothin' yet! Seriously, in the upcoming Glee episode, "Asian F", Heather performs to Bey's Who Run the World (Girls), and it's probably her best performance yet. If you can't wait until Tuesday to see it, we've got a sneak peak for you straight from E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos!

Okay, okay... I'll quit rambling. Here's your sneak peak at Heather Morris' amazing Who Run the World (Girls) performance:

You know Beyonce's got to be proud of her "token white girl"! Seriously, she done her good! I don't know about you, but that just got me waaaaaaaay more excited for Tuesday! Oh, and how about that Santana action in there? You know we love that. And Quinn?! Seriously, I'm starting to believe Ms. Dos Santos when she says this is the best Glee episode in the show's history.

Who run the world? Heather Morris!

Just a couple more days Gleeks! I can't believe the season just started and we're already on episode 3! Loving it so far!
