Gleecap: Glee 3x16 - 'Saturday Night Glee-ver' Recap

Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

You missed the episode dedicated to disco? I'm lactating with rage. Nevertheless, here's the scoop on the white (non-zoot) suits, shiny dance floor, "What do I do with my future?" moments, and that's right... Brittana. Sit back and enjoy this delicious serving of piping hot disco fever magic.

The episode opens up with You Should Be Dancing featuring Blaine Warbler, Mike, and beloved Brittany (who should always be dancing). The trio wants disco for nationals as the theme this year is vintage. Schue likes it, but there's just one problem: "disco sucks," according... well everybody else.

Schue is concerned for Finn, Mercedes, and Santana as graduation is quickly approaching and all three seem a little lost. The more pressing concern is why Schue has dolls representing students. Pedo-tastic.

Santana just wants to be famous, no matter what it takes.

Schue has been out of ideas since Madonna week. Sue suggests a lesson dedicated to the album "Saturday Night Fever." The kids hate disco, but they love swag.

Enter Mercedes and Kurt's love child, Wade Adams, from Vocal Adrenaline. Mr. Swag himself, Jesse St. James, is his coach but Chunks McGriddle wants to do drag in the upcoming performance. Enter: Unique, his female alter-ego.

Sue lends the Glee club her disco dance floor. Rachel doesn’t support disco, but a couple Glee clubbers do so cue Night Fever, it's time for the dance off! Winner gets a white Travolta suit. Kurt needs that suit. They're all officially amazing, but the 3 finalists are Santana, Mercedes, and Finn (obviously rigged). Schue assigns the trio to pick a disco song to perform and then share their dreams for the future.

Mercedes has a dream, she just doesn't know how to get there. Singing Disco Inferno is a step in the right direction. Brittana back-up dancing? Burn, baby, burn. Sam records the performance. Mercedes’ dream is to be like Mariah, Whitney (RIP), and Aretha. Once again Schue is uninspiring.

Puck doesn't want to go to LA without Finn, but Finn doesn't know what he wants to do. Looks like Puck is going solo.
Sue tells Porcelain and Weezy to have Wade perform as Unique, complete with a pair of 13-wide heels from Janet Reno, ensuring a New Directions win at regionals as a drag performance is sure to fail.

Santana sings If I Can't Have You. She's amazing, as per usual. Schue interprets the performance as a stand for marriage equality and says she's off to law school to make it happen (fic feelings anyone?). Of course she wants marriage equality and Brittany will always be her girlfriend (SCORE), but her mistress... is fame. "I can’t live, withouts mah fame." She won’t be like the theater nerds that will starve in New York, no offense Gay Berry.

Anyone who is engaged to Rachel should come to the auditorium. Finchel make up for the umpteenth time and decide to explore Finn's dreams while Rachel serenades her man with How Deep is Your Love.

Santana is getting stared at like she’s Finn and she just won butter eating competition. She's famous... thanks to Brittany's release of their sex tape: "Two Girls, One Cat."

Finn doesn’t know what he wants. He just wants time to stop. Schue tells him he can do anything and makes him watch "Saturday Night Fever".

Santana wants Britt to take the video down, but she can't now, she just got her boob in the door and they can't rest. Eat that bull testicle and prep for Fear Factor!

The laziest person alive and the pasty-face ghost boy visit Wade backstage and tell him not to dress up as a woman, but his mind is made up. Unique owns the stage during Boogie Shoes.

Finn sings his assignment song for the week: More Than A Woman. Kurt has season one hair and Tike is precious as ever. It’s a couples dance party, Brittana included (*ovaries explosion*). Finn finally knows what he wants to do: he wants to move in NYC with Rachel and attend Inside The Actor's Studio. He wants to be an actor and he's unafraid of dreaming big, thanks to Rachel. And in a surprising turn of events, I found this Finchel scene mildly cute. Huh.

Samcedes scene. Sam uploaded Mercedes' performance and it's going viral. He believes in her and now complete strangers do too. He urges her on and a Samcedes kiss ensues.

Sue is disappointed in Boobs McGoo, but not just for the sex tape, as she released her own with Oliver North on Beta Max, and Cheney still has a copy. Santana is embarrassed for not caring how she got her fame and wants to go to college. Thankfully for Lady Ta-ta, she's already been accepted to college with a (magic?) full scholarship. Perhaps she can get a business degree and open up a taco truck (Sue is still confused as to her ethnicity). The application was Brittany's idea. PRAISE. They're in love and hug it out (that’s all we get? C'mon RIB).

And the winner of this week's disco assignment is... all three of them. It's time to strut the halls in their white leisure suits to the delicious sounds of Staying Alive. Even Sue and Schue get in on the suit dance party and everyone is looking fresh, especially Tina. Just sayin'.

And that’s what you missed... on Glee!

*As always... thanks to Ashley for writin' up this bad boy! Go follow her on twitter now! @ashhens.*

Not only are we gigantic gleeks, but we're gigantic Whitney fans. The news of her untimely passing hit both of us hard. But thanks to Glee, we get to bask in her legendary music just a little longer. And thanks to this early release of "How Will I know", you all get a sneak peek of this amazing, stripped down, heartfelt version of the song:

Gleecap: Glee 3x15 - 'Big Brother' Recap

Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

Glee is back! The hiatus is over and after seven long weeks I think we were all a little curious what happened to Q. Not sure why you missed this episode (unless you steered clear because of another Blaine storyline, in which case I totally understand) but we’ve got the deets on the wheelchairs, awkward shower scene, masters class, and roller coasters. Fast forward several weeks after Quinn’s accident andddddd ACTION!

The Finchel wedding has been postponed but Rachel can’t stop thinking about Quinn, who is rolling down the hall wheelchair style. This is the happiest day of her life and she heads into the choir room with Artie to sing it out. Cue Quartie duet to the tune of I’m Still Standing. Ironic? You betchya.

Texting and driving was the stupidest thing Quinn has ever done, besides sleeping with Puck, but it’s ok all her plumbing still works. No tears, Tina. Q promises to be out of her chair and dancing on stage by nationals. Unholy Trinity hugs. Praise.

In Figgins’ office he names Roz the co-coach of the Cheerios as Sue’s pregnancy has compromised her work. His word is law. Sue vows to get the school a national championship via Glee Club so she takes over booty camp in an effort to whip the pear-shaped teens into shape. She lays an epic smackdown on them over their “complete apathy and lack of professionalism.” She’s meaner than Tabatha.

Mercedes isn't texting, she's donating to the Obama campaign. Her droid! Brad Ellis approves.

Sue is wildly hormonal. Stop trying to understand her actions.

Barbra Gordon and Schue agree to go to Sue’s doctor appointment with her.

Blaine's brother, Cooper Anderson, is in town exploring his salt of the earth roots. "You, sir, are a Disney prince." Blaine... you jelly?

The Glee kids discuss senior ditch day plans. But not a non-alcoholic pub crawl because it's not senior CITIZENS ditch day. Brittany wants to see something give birth. Rachel kills all cheer by apologizing to Quinn but Q refuses to dwell on it. Cue Faberry hug (calm yourselves, shippers). Meeting adjourned, Six Flags it is.

Puck suggests he and Finn start a pool cleaning business in California, but Finchel has New York plans.

Ladies and gays, Sue gives you Porcelain’s famous brother Cooper Anderson. Namaste. The cardigan's comin' off. It’s an Anderbro duet of Hungry Like The Wolf/Rio. Standing O.

Blaine whines about his older brother’s constant critiques.

Quinn takes on the steepest wheelchair ramp with Artie’s encouragement. It’s just like having a baby.

Welcome to the Cooper Anderson Acting Master Class. Notes: Broadway is dead, turn into a pose again and again, ask the tough questions, point, no eye contact with a scene partner, scream all your lines.

The pool-owning milf would love to be a silent, or noisy, business partner for the Puck and Finn pool cleaning business.

Sue and Wemma find out that Sue is having a girl. Her toilet seats are spared.

Cooper got an audition for a Michael Bay film, aka Transformers 4. Blaine isn’t thrilled because it’s all about Cooper. And so begins the awkward segue into Blaine singing Fighter. Cue boxing followed by unnecessary shower scene and we’re back onto the stage for screaming/singing and tv screens filled with Cooper.

Quinn calls Finn out for texting and walking and Quartie confirms their own ditch day Artie Abrams style.

Becky talks to Sue about her having a baby girl, which Sue reveals will be just like her. Please don't start lactating. Becky tells her to work on her patience.

Quartie senior ditch day = crip skip. The rest of the Glee kids hit the roller coasters at Six Flags, all to the tune of another delicious Quartie duet to the sound of Up, Up, Up (can I get pregnant from this?). Quinn tells Artie she’s going to walk again but Artie isn’t so certain.

Teen Jesus and Quinn “walk” down the hall together and Q momentarily slips into being a self-obsessed bitch but ultimately takes him to join the New Directions. He has a twig in his hair.

Sue will reveal the father of her child once she finalizes her book and movie deal. She apologizes for being mean to the Glee kids, she thought she was being kind... for not bringing up the sexual tension between Mercedes and the Kentucky fried stripper, or the fact that they spent untold millions on a laser show so Sandbags could dance with the night school’s Polynesian janitor (actually he was Puerto Rican). It’s in her DNA to be mean, just like it’s in Porcelain’s to poop rainbow glitter. She promises to be nicer if they promise to work their butts off for that first place trophy in Chicago.

Alright sloppy babies, let’s take it from the top! (Anyone else have season one flashbacks when Sue said that? Thought so).

Kurt gives Blaine a Margaret Thatcher stuffed animal dog and convinces him to give it another shot with his brother. Talking doesn’t work? Show him how you really feel, Blaine, through a break-up song duet with Somebody That I Used To Know. They work it all out, now they’re friends and brothers, and I unsurprisingly still couldn’t find any effs to give. Huh.

Finchel locker scene. The NYADA scout is coming soon and Rachel is ready but Finn wants to start thinking seriously about his own future, perhaps in California. Rachel needs to be in New York but Finn isn’t sure.

And that’s what you missed... on Glee!

Big thanks to Ash for writing this Gleecap... Again! You da' best Assssshley!

Whatever your reason, we want to hear it.

Upon entry, we'll enter you into a drawing. At 10/9pm c, we'll randomly draw a winner, and that person gets a pair of Seminar tickets, valid from now until May 27th (yep, you can choose your own date!)

Scared you might not win? No big deal. Enter anyway, because at the end of the contest, we're going to let you know how to save in a BIG way. In fact, using a special discount code, you'll get to see the show for the following prices:

Wanna know more about Seminar before we hook you up with your discount? Take a look at the official Seminar Facebook Page and the official Seminar Twitter Page for more information. THEN tell us why you want to go!
