Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

Welcome to our second segment of "Songs Glee Should Cover" Volume 2.

This month's theme -- well, we don't really have a theme this month. Break ups & Hook ups & New Starts seems to be fitting, I suppose. Don't worry. We already have a theme picked out for next month. But before that, check out our five choices for February, and let us know what you think!

SONG: "Now Is The Start" by A Fine Frenzy

WHO SINGS IT: Tina & Marley with the New Directions

SCENARIO: Episode 4x22 - It's after graduation. It's after Nationals. The Glee Club just lost. Everyone is sad. Tina gives a speech about how it was a great year, and everyone is going off in new directions this year, and isn't that the point of the glee club? She and Marley start singing this song to motivate them that their Glee Club loss is a new beginning to a new year.

LYRICS SUNG:
Tina: Hey / Hey / Do you hear, do you hear that sound / It's the sound of the lost gone found / It's the sound of a mute gone loud / It's the sound of a new start
Marley: Kiss / With a mouth of shooting stars / Of lost and broken hearts / Unafraid you can name your scars / With a touch of a new heart
Tina: It sounds like / It sounds like / It sounds like
All: Ladeedadadadada, dadadadada / Now, oh, now is the start / Hey / hey / hey / hey
BothNew start in the end / There is a / New heart under there / Beneath these / New parts everywhere / It is a new, new, new, new start / Now is the start
Marley: It sounds like / It sounds like / It sounds like
All: Ladeedadadadada, dadadadada / Now, now / Ladeedadadadada, dadadadada / Now, oh, now is the start / Oh, now is the start / Now is the start / Now is the start

SONG: "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars

WHO SINGS IT: Brody

SCENARIO: Episode 4x16 "Fued" - After Santana discovers that Brody is cheating on Rachel, Rachel and Brody have a big blow up fight and ultimately break up in Rachel's apartment. Brody lays on the bed right after Rachel tells him she's going back to Lima for a couple of days. He starts singing and packs up his bags. The song ends with Brody leaving with all of his belongings, closing the door to the apartment.

LYRICS SUNG:
Same bed, but it feels just a little bit bigger now
Our song on the radio, but it don't sound the same
When our friends talk about you all that it does is just tear me down
Cause my heart breaks a little when I hear your name
And it all just sound like uh, uh, uh

Hmmm too young, too dumb to realize
That I should have bought you flowers and held your hand
Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance
Take you to every party cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby is dancing, but she's dancing with another man.

Although it hurts I'll be the first to say that I was wrong
Oh, I know I'm probably much too late
To try and apologize for my mistakes
But I just want you to know

I hope he buys you flowers, I hope he holds your hand
Give you all his hours when he has the chance
Take you to every party cause I remember how much you loved to dance
Do all the things I should have done when I was your man
Do all the things I should have done when I was your man

Santana: The highway won't hold you tonight / The highway don't know you're alive / The highway don't care if you're all alone / But I do, I do. / The highway won't dry your tears / The highway don't need you here / The highway don't care if you're coming home / But I do, I do.
Sam: I bet you got a dead cell phone in your shotgun seat / Yeah, I bet you're bending God's ear talking 'bout me. / You're trying not to let the first tear fall out / Trying not to think about turning around / You're trying not to get lost in the sound but that song is always on / So you sing along
Brittany: I can't live without you, I can't live without you, baby / I can't live without you, I can't live without you, baby, baby
Santana: The highway won't hold you tonight / The highway don't know you're alive / The highway don't care if you're all alone / But I do, I do.
The highway won't dry your tears / The highway don't need you here / The highway don't care if you're coming home / But I do, I do.
Brittany: I can't live without you, I can't live without you, baby / I can't live without you, I can't live without you, baby, baby

SONG: "Walk Of Shame" by Pink

WHO SINGS IT: Quinn

SCENARIO: Episode 4x14: "I Do" - Quinn wakes up the morning after a drunken hook up with Santana. Santana is still asleep. So she walks into the bathroom to put her dress from the night before back on. Song starts there. Goes to sneak out & sees that Santana is awake, also looking ashamed. Santana looks up at her and Quinn just grabs her purse and runs out of the door. As she walks out of the hotel, she sees everyone from the wedding the night before, giving her scandalous looks. First Kurt and Blaine in the hallway, then Will, then Finn as he's checking out, then Rachel from the hotel lobby. Song ends as she walks out of the hotel doors.

LYRICS SUNG:
One step, two steps, counting tiles on the floor
Three steps, four steps, guess this means I wanted more.
Uh-oh, hell no, how long till I reach the door?
Oh jeez... my feet are sore

I'm wearing last night's dress and I look like a hot ass mess
Although my hair looks good cause I haven't slept yet!

Make the elevator come a little faster
I'm pushing all the buttons, but nothing's happening
Please God don't let anybody see me
Please God I'll do anything you ask of me
I promise, no more walks of shame

So walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)
Walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)

I shouldn't have let
'Em take my keys, take my keys
Then left me here, with too much beer
My friends, they hung me out to dry
It's not my fault, and that's why
I'm doin' the walk of shame

Make the elevator come a little faster
I'm pushing all the buttons, but nothing's happening
Please God don't let anybody see me
Please God I'll do anything you ask of me
I promise, no more walks of shame

So walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)
Walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)

So walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)
Walk this way (we're walking, we're walking)

SONG: "Bad Moon Rising" - Creedence Clearwater Revival

WHO SINGS IT: Artie

SCENARIO: Finn is struggling with finding the perfect song for the New Directions to perform at Regionals. Artie starts to worry, and decides to go spy on Vocal Adrenaline. When he gets there, he sees that Vocal Adrenaline has a new amazeballs singer that out performs any of the previous Vocal Adrenaline leads... As it turns out... it's Betty.

LYRICS SUNG:
I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin'.
I see bad times today.

Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.

Hope you got your things together.
Hope you are quite prepared to die.
Looks like we're in for nasty weather.
One eye is taken for an eye.

Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.

Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.
