GleeCap: Glee 3x02 - 'I Am Unicorn' Recap

Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

Even though we're in the era of DVR and TiVo, I'm still positive you didn't miss tonight's episode of Glee... But in case you did, here's what you missed in "I Am Unicorn"

Brittany wants to help Kurt with his class campaign for class president, because he's a unicorn. He knew he was magical, and Brittany saw it too. She thought she could help get him some popular votes with a Kurt Hummel Fun Sack

Dustin Goolsby = fired. I thought he was handsome too, Artie

Mr. Schue implements a new dance Booty Camp - everyday after school - only for the people that need it, which includes Finn, Puck, Mercedes, Kurt and Blaine. Mike Chang helped instruct. He's the finest dance teacher alive.

They announced the directors for the musical. There were two faculty directors, Coach Beiste & Emma, and one student director: Artie

Shelby Corchoran comes back to give the New Directions a run for their money with a new Glee club... actually, not really. Sugar Armada's father gave some bucks to Figgy to have Ms. Corchoran come direct a Glee Club for Sugar to be in.

Sue wants Quinn to be in her congressional video: "A Day in the Life of a Girl Who the Arts Stole Everything". Quinn agrees & tells off Mr. Schue while Sue is recording. Schue fights back and told her to grow up... Yeah Quinn, I remember when I had my first beer.

Shelby wants Puck & Quinn to be in Beth's life, but only under her conditions. Quinn tells her off. Puck cleans up his act and makes every girl in America want to bear his children. Basically, he stopped drinking, except for beer. He had no drugs in his system. He even did some homework. He wants Beth in his life just as much. Seriously, I got teary eyed just recapping this scene...

Booty Camp happens. Mike Chang = Hot... End of story. And also Mercedes wants to do the Park & Bark. I love it

Blaine's a Junior. Shocker.

Rachel's audition song is "Somewhere" and she sings it with Idina Menzel. And it's breathtaking. Literally, it takes your breath away. You cannot breathe while they're singing this.

Kurt sings "I Am the Greatest Star" for his West Side Story audition. He sings it brilliantly. Seriously, it's pretty amazing. But the judges are afraid he's too "delicate" for Tony

Kurt gets upset with Britt's campaign posters where Kurt is riding the unicorn (because he doesn't only want to be known as "Kurt the homo") but Santana tells him that originally "the Unicorn was riding Kurt"

Santana tells Britt that she is the unicorn. Because she is a genius. And that there's no one like her. So if Kurt doesn't like it... he doesn't deserve Britt Britt as his campaign manager and that she should run. Aw.

Kurt asks Rachel for help with an emergency audition, because he overheard the directors saying that he might be too delicate. So he re-auditions with Rachel to make Beiste feel it in her lady parts. The directors laugh at him, though, and he runs off stage embarrassed.

Quinn wants to see Beth. Shelby won't let her. So she asks to see a photo. It's of Puck and Beth together. Quinn cried about it. Join the club Quinn, we all cried about it. So she decides to "clean up her act" & rejoin the Glee club as a part of a scheming plan to get full custody of Beth.

Rachel tells Finn to try out for Tony. He says he doesn't have time. He works for Burt Hummel at the shop. He asks Rachel if it would be so bad to stay in Lima for the rest of his life. Rachel say she just wants Finn to be happy, but doesn't think it would make him happy. He likes that answer. Ere goes the infamous "Peanut Butter Kiss"... So cute. Love it.

Kurt goes to Burt to talk to him about how he doesn't only want to be known as "gay". Burt gives an uplifting talk (after so abruptly saying "Dude, you're gay") as he always does. Love Burt & Kurt.

Finn nails his dance moves at booty camp. It's because Mike Chang is a good teacher.

Brittany decides to run for Class president after Santana's little snippet of inspiration. So, she does.

Blaine tried out for the musical, too, as anything but Tony (since Kurt was trying out for Tony). He sang "Something's Coming". He nailed it. Artie wanted to give him a standing ovation. He couldn't. But he did ask Blaine if he wanted to try out for the role of Tony. By the look on his face... there could be some tension between Klaine.

Annnnnnd that's what you missed. On Glee!

Glee Rumours - Likes and Dislikes

Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

Potential Spoilers in this post! Use caution!

Sorry that we have been a little bit neglectful of the blog this weekend. It's crunch time at school for me, so I've been working on finals and stuff before graduation! Whitney's been busy pluggin' away at a little surprise we'll have for our followers... so stay tuned.

Since Prom is so close, but Rumours was so good, we're going to do a little "Likes and Dislikes" segment... like we do every week. This week's episode was epic. There wasn't a whole lot that I didn't love about it. But even though there might be way more that I liked about the episode than I disliked, there was still some interesting interactions during the episode. Here's what we think:

Likes

1)Fondue for Two: Fondue For Two was epic. It was one of those things you'd never expect to see in any television show, but something you hope continues to repeat itself. Brittany was hilarious, Lord Tubbington was hilarious, the theme song was hilarious. We couldn't wish Fondue For Two to be on more episodes than we do now. Please RIB-- Season 3 regular webisode!!!

2)The music: Literally, all of the music was phenomenal. It is so hard for me to pick a performance that I like the best. Ok, well I'd pick "Songbird". But the second place song literally could be any other song that was sung. Rachel did a bang up job on "Go Your Own Way". She totally put her 'Rachel Berry Feminine Twist', and it rocked. "Don't Stop" was great. And it was so cute to see Sam's little 'Trouty Mouth' family. Artie did an awesome job on "Never Going Back Again" (sidenote-- the original is one of my favorite songs, and I think Artie held his own...) Then you have a hilarious Fuinn performance. We even liked the way Schue sand "Dreams"! Really... there wasn't a bad song in this episode.

3)A Vulnerable Sam Storyline: They even said it in the episode: "What do we know about Sam, anyway?" Sam has been an important character throughout the second season, but we haven't really gotten to know him like we know the other characters. It was really nice to see a Chord Overstreet storyline come to play. It made us more emotionally connected to Sam, and it fit the creative genius of a story line that Ryan Murphy and company have created.

4)Finchel: There was so much Finchel chemistry this week, we don't even know what to do! This is such a huge step in the right direction for Finchel fans. Rachel and Finn staked out together not once, but twice. Then they went to talk to Sam together. Looks like they're in more scenes together than Finn and Quinn... Let's hope things get interesting!

5)Brittana: For Brittana fans, there was also a step in the right direction this week. After Artie did something that we didn't like... see below... Brittany runs to Santana. And Santana was there with a love song. Step up your game Artie!

6)Sue Sylvester: Dressed up like David Bowie and Anne Coulter... 'nuff said!

7)April Rhodes: Usually we don't like April Rhodes... or at least I don't. I like Kristin Chenoweth, don't get me wrong, but her character tends to be a show-stealer when she guests. This week, I think there was the perfect combination of April Rhodes and the hilarity that she brings to the show. It made her character really enjoyable this week!

8)The Use of Fan-related Terms: It seems like they've started doing this a lot lately... using fan-related terms, or putting things in episodes that only real fans would know. Starting with the "Ferry Veil" reference in A Night of Neglect, to the use of "trolling" by Terri and the awesome shipper names in this week's episode. Keep it up, guys. Fans are diggin' it!

Dislikes:

1)Artie No offense, Kevin McHale, we know you're not Artie, but man, we were upset with the way you talked to Brittany this week! The girl's got feelings, too! As we all learned from BTW-- She's with Stoopid. Not to mention, regardless of the cheating (it's not justification, but...), Santana is first and foremost Brittany's BFF. Of course she's going to defend her. Leave Brittany alone! Don't call her stupid again, or you'll get kicked to the curb, for sure... if you haven't been already...

2)Lack of Mercedes and Tina: We know this is said every week, and we know it's impossible for RIB to integrate 15 character-lines into 43 minutes, but those girls literally had like 2 lines this whole episode. We are sure that's bound to change... just know we miss you girls!

3)No 10 AM and I'm Drunk? According to spoilers, we were supposed to have an April Rhodes Song called "It's 10 AM and I'm Drunk". Didn't see it this time... maybe there's still hope, but that's something that we were really looking forward to from Ms. Rhodes!

As you can tell from the lack of "Dislikes" and the overabundance of "Likes", we thought this was one of the best episodes this season! I hope they do another album-centered show again, because I think an album can really address multiple story lines. Plus, it makes for an incredibly interesting storyline.

So, are you ready for Prom?! If the last two episode were any indication of how phenomenal this season is going to end... we're in for a real treat! Two more days Gleeks!

Glee Prom Promo

Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

Prom is always crazy, but I bet your prom wasn't this crazy:

Let's have a little bit of a chat:

1) Santofsky? Gosh, please no one vote for them. After tonight's Songbird performance, no one's going to buy it Santana. Just freakin' dance with Britt already.

2) I don't know if you've seen the song list for this episode, but we get a little sneak peak of I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You which I personally love. Sounds awesome. Plus, can you say Dancing Queen?

3) The clothes. A) The girls, all of them, look amazing. Kurt? Not sure about that, but Finn nailed it... totally Braveheart. Can't wait to see everyone in their hot little get-ups.

4) Jesse St. James? First of all, ew. Get a haircut. Second of all, I used to like you. Then you cracked eggs on Rachel's head, and really all I want to do now is crack one of your nuts... right or left, that's your choice. Just quit ruining her life. If you even start anything... Finn will come after you...

5) Last, but not least... the big news... Does Fuinn break up?! (Gasp) This could be the Finchel break that we've been waiting for! Looks promising since Quinn punches Rachel in the face! Say whaaat?! I can't understand it... but this Prom is crazy!

Hope you are as excited as we are :)

Go Your Own Way - Glee Sneak Peak

This video has potential spoilers in it, as it is a scene from the Rumours episode... Watch at your own risk!

Just as we thought this season couldn't get any better, I've never been more excited for an episode in my life. Here's a sneak peak of Rachel singing "Go Your Own Way" on next week's Rumours episode:

OK, Let's go over a few things real quick:

1) Finchel tension: It's good tension. Signs of Finn and Rachel getting back together? I think so... Or at least there's definite chemistry there. She's singing to him, he's smiling at her. I sense a break up and a get-together coming soon! Not to mention, look at Quinn's face. She is not havin' this interaction one bit!

2) Bartie tension: First thing I noticed in this scene was that Brittany and Artie weren't sitting together. Say whaaat?! Then look at those fierce exchanges that they give each other throughout the song. It looks like Artie "just can't be bothered".

3) Puck and Finn rockin' out is just way too adorable. I cannot wait for this scene!

Hope you enjoyed it, and tell us what you think!

Happy Gleeking, dudes.

Rumours Preview!

Follow TroutyMouthBlog on Twitter

Sometimes, when I notice that the end of Glee is approaching, I get peeved and immediately start to curl up in a ball and cry and try to think of something that will make me happy again: next week's preview.

As seen from the preview and the title of the preview, this episode is a tribute to Fleetwood Mac, for the most part. Let's get down to business!

It appears as if Sue is up to something at the school..in a class room..with students..talking about how when news gets out in the school, that it's out forever. I've got my hunches..what do you guys think she's up to?

"What blonde former cheerleader is having a motel rendezvous with another big lipped blondie?" Uh oh Finn, could Quinn be sneakin' off to meet up with 'ol Trouty Mouth? Scandy! Will Quinn cheat with Sam? I say no!

Brittany..you're so dumb and hilarious I love it and also know that deep down, you aren't that stupid!

Finnchel! Finnchel! Finnchel stakeout! I cannot wait for this interaction and probably the hilarity that I can imagine happening with the conversation that goes down between those two in the truck on the stakeout! And as for the stakeout of Kurt and Sam at the hotel, come on. I know you Klaine shippers aren't going to take this lying down! I'm quite confident in saying that Kurt isn't cheating on Blaine because he's like obsessed with him. It's a bromance, yo.

April Rhodes? Yes please! I wonder if she's stopped drinking yet…

And back to Sue..David Bowie.

Outstanding. And while do not like Terri, there are some hilarious things that come out of her mouth so I look forward to that! That is all.

What did you guys think/gather from next week's preview? Hit us up below!

Wanna check out some more in-depth thoughts (spoilers) on the Rumours episode? Boom, here ya go!
